Our client is a very high-profile, enterprise-class Public-Sector organization, located in downtown Toronto, with close proximity to Union Station and the TTC/Subway and other public transit.   This organization’ s profile will bring incremental value to just about any professional’ s resume and professional track-record, and this assignment will likely be showcased on the successful candidate’ s resume for years to come.

They are seeking the services of an accomplished Mobile Inspection Business Analyst  to contribute to the delivery of  application re-design for various projects within the ITS portfolio. 

The initial anticipated term of this contract assignment is 12 months. 

Desired Skills & Experience: 

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or the equivalent, combined with directly related experience in a business or computer related discipline.

  • At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business System Analyst

  • Exceptional ability to elicit, analyze and document requirements from multiple groups or business units

  • Working knowledge of PMI Project Management methodology

  • Proven track record in delivering for successful projects on a tight timeline

  • Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work independently with both technical staff and users at various levels to investigate and validate all aspects of document and/or business problem and overcome any obstacles to finding answers

  • Expert knowledge of MS Office tools (Access, Excel, Word, and Power Point), MS Project, and Visio

  • Working experience with Maximo and Knowledge of Maximo Asset Management tool

  • Working Experience in Transportation industry\

Other Skills: 

  • ITIL, CBAP and/or PMP certification

  • Major IT implementation experience and understanding how systems are affected by business process change.

  • Experience implementing IT Service Management systems and associated processes

  • Experience using structured techniques for business and system analysis

  • Thorough understanding of project management, data security audit concepts, and quality assurance principles

  • Familiarity and understanding of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis and performance measurement.
