Application Support Analyst

Our  client in the financial  sector and a Top Canadian Employer, offers challenging and rewarding opportunities. They are currently seeking  an  Application Support Analyst  to join  their  team on a contract basis.

Location: Toronto

Initial Planned Duration: 6 months

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Technically knowledgeable analyst with extensive practical experience across the entire Office 365 suite of tools required to provide technical insight into designing, maintaining, and supporting Office 365 solutions.   This role will primarily be research oriented to determine the best practices required to successfully implement solutions across the Office 365 suite with an initial focus on Dynamics and InTune. The successful candidate should be viewed as a subject matter expert, and, would work closely with other areas within the organization (including infrastructure and software engineering) to ensure effective implementation of Azure / Office365 solutions.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Analyse, research and solve technical problems in coordination with infrastructure and development teams concerning Office 365 suite, in particular but not limited to Dynamics and InTune.

  • Document and propose solution design and configuration recommendations in coordination with infrastructure and development teams. 

  • Provide provisioning and deployment best practises and guidance for modules within Office 365 in coordination with infrastructure, development and information security teams

  • Working with Microsoft to determine how various features work and whether they are fit for purpose

  • Anticipating and analysing business requirements and how the Microsoft 365 platforms can meet those requirements

  • Providing solution support for production implementations i.e. here is how stuff works and is supposed to work

  • Assessing results of various Proof Of Concepts

  • Leading the resolution of technical issues in coordination with Microsoft and other OTPP technical teams.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 



KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

 

  • Extensive Azure and Microsoft Office 365 knowledge and practical experience

  • Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent working experience.  

  • Thorough knowledge of information systems theories, concepts, methods, and techniques.   

  • Experience in contributing to initiatives through the full software development life cycle - from conception to completion - with proven ability in coordinating activities, scheduling, and project control.

  • Self-starter who can develop and execute project plans - and the task detail appropriate for completion of work assignments.

  • Excellent collaborator with strong communication/customer service skills required for interactions with various parts of the organization with varying levels of technical expertise.

  • MCSA / MCSE Certifications an asset

  • Good skills in PowerShell
