The Business Analyst  will be working closely with Product Managers of multiple LOBs and other project stakeholders to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented and met. This role requires interaction with CIBC Investor’ s Edge, Imperial Investor Services and Wood Gundy management and with other internal and external groups, including Operations and Technology departments and vendors. The main systems that the majority of initiatives will be impacting are the Online Brokerage, its interfaces and the related systems on which it depends.

  • Ensure mandatory compliance with Bank  work practices, processes, security standards and policies
  • Work both independently and with a team of business analysts and/or product managers
  • Be accountable for the delivery of assigned program/project related modules of business and system requirements
  • Show ownership of the assigned tasks
  • Provide accurate estimates of work effort and duration for the assigned work packages
  • Research/analyze/document current business policies, operations, data structures and application systems relative to projects, in support of and during eliciting and documenting requirements
  • Verify requirements against industry, financial and regulatory standards and resolve issues and gaps with various departments
  • Develop and maintain detailed requirements throughout project life cycle
  • Prepare user training / documentation as required
  • Communicate across multiple functional areas to actively engage project stakeholders and manage client expectations
  • Prepare and document test requirements/test plans/test cases to drive business acceptance of new functionality; perform business and user acceptance testing
  • Coordinate activities related to execution of the assigned work packages
· 5-7 years of experience and knowledge in the area of full service and discount on-line and mobile brokerage industry · 3-5 years of experience in creating complex Business Requirement; Use Cases and supporting documentation packages in online setting · 2-3 years of experience in communications in business setting, in an enterprise-wide matrix environment · 2-3 years of experience in utilizing problem solving approaches, tools and techniques and following through to resolution · Demonstrated techniques in performing analysis; soliciting and verifying requirements; creating action plans; following-through to completion; creating and validating work estimates · Understanding of Brokerage business objectives and supporting back office operational functions and complexity · Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent assignments of varying complexities while under time constraints
