Our client, a rapidly growing engineering firm based in Aurora, has asked ProVision Staffing to assist them in hiring a Marketing Manager to join their Management Team.  

Reporting to the VP of Strategy, the  Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans in order to attract potential customers as well as  retain existing  existing customers.

This is an individual contributor role, within a small engineering firm. The ideal candidate, preferably with experience in the oil and gas and/or engineering consultancy sector, will develop and run the entire marketing campaign.



  • Develops and executes a formalized, strategic Marketing Plan,  including both internal and external marketing initiatives
  • Focuses on consistent branding and messaging based on our client' s Vision, Mission and Values, in both digital and print media
  • Develops and supports the implementation for social media strategy, building an online presence  on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and corporate blog
  • Conducts market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products and develops and executes go-to-market plans designed to position our client as the expert in the domain areas it seeks to pursue
  • Analyses customer research, current market conditions and competitor information, and generates a lead creation program to assist the sales force in identifying and qualifying potential customers
  • Manages the productivity of the marketing plans and projects, including monitoring, reviewing and reporting on all marketing activity and results
  • Creates and reports key marketing measures of performance
  • Create budgets and work plans on an annual basis and effectively manages the overall marketing budget
  • Plans and executes all activities associated with industry  trade shows and conferences as well as client training events
  • Manages the work of external vendors and suppliers (e.g. graphic designers, printers, web providers, etc.)

  • Provides general management through involvement in cross-functional activities which support corporate strategy
  • Develops and manages team efforts as required and associated strategies and plans
  • Participates in the development of policies, procedures and controls that are well aligned to ensure the company objectives are met
  • Functions in alignment with company  Values and Professional Culture and leads through example


  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent experience
  • 5 plus years of proven B2B experience in similar role (sales/marketing), preferably with  an engineering or consulting firm
  • Strong business strategist and visionary
  • Highly honed influence and negotiation skills; able to seek mutually beneficial solutions and obtain cooperation from others
  • Excellent managerial courage and provides direct, honest and fair feedback and related actions
  • Value creator and able to generate sustainable business value
  • Exceptional drive and motivation
  • Flexibility for occasional business travel as required
