Location: Burnaby, BC 

Initial Planned Duration: 3/6 months (Contract) – Potential extension after 3 months.

Responsibilities:

Key Skills: Lead Architecture, Dynamics CRM, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, Excellent Communications Skills
  • Overall 12+ years’ experience in implementing large packaged CRM applications
  • Well versed with the overall technical architecture of Dynamics CRM
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in architecting, developing, implementing and integrating business solutions built with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Must have 4+ years hands-on Microsoft Dynamics CRM  &  design and development experience, specifically developing web services and database applications using a variety of technologies, including C#,  ASP.NET, Javascript, SQL, and SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and successfully integrate with Dynamics CRM
  • Must have lead the design and development of at-least 2 Dynamics CRM integration projects with legacy/in-house applications
  • Experience with deployment of Dynamics CRM solution on hand-held devices preferred
  • Well versed with different versions of .NET Framework, WPF, C# programming, CRM SDK, SQL Server
  • Experience in designing and deploying SSRS custom reports/Dashboards with Dynamics CRM
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Authentication, Windows Networking, Performance and Security aspects
  • Experience with advanced web development technologies used with the XRM platform would be preferred, including REST, JSON, WCF,  oData, jQuery
  • Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable in leasing with stakeholders at all levels

The release manager organizes, directs, and manages activities for building and maintaining software releases for their promotion to the production environment. The release manager may manage large multi-discipline teams in a matrix management organization. Acts as a liaison between business unit personnel and testing teams in executing and managing test processes and ensuring the availability of environments used to conduct testing of the final deliverables. The candidate will be required to review release notes, coordinate/orchestrate issue resolution incorporating SME input from multiple teams within the Technology sector. The position requires strong people skills as well as written and verbal communication skills. 

Business Critical Deliverables 

• Own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases within EETS. 
• Responsible for the overall Release communications and manages communication to key stakeholders ensuring they are aware of significant changes/impacts in a timely manner from a timeline, cost and a risk perspective. 
• Responsible for coordinating and managing the overall deployment of applications releases, including sequencing of project deployments to ensure on-time delivery. 

Accountabilities / Scope: 
• Act as the Build Manager for Agile projects - build and deploy code to multiple environments 
• Interface and communicate with Project Managers and/or application support manager and/or other TS partners on a daily basis. 
• Establish improved processes to enhance release delivery timeliness and quality across EETS and to improve visibility/performance across the portfolio of projects/activities. 
• Coordinate the planning and support of the Release Production Acceptance Testing (PAT) with Project Teams, ITS. 
• Understand and communicate testing impact of scope changes/PCRs to the project management team both from a timeline/cost and a risk perspective. 
• Chair Production release status calls with ITS and Project Managers to ensure activities are coordinated and issues are addressed in a timely manner. 
• Make and implement recommendations to improve the overall Release Management process within EETS.

What We’ re Looking For
  • Must have 5+ years of experience as a Solution Designer, or in a similar role
  • Must have practical working knowledge of: Rational Unified Process, Agile Software Development, SOA Design Patterns, Java EE, JSP, JMS, JMX, JAX-WS, SOA, Web Services, BPE, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle DB and PRPC
  • Must have experience with API, Microservices, and Enterprise enablement
  • Must have previous experience in designing front-end UI solutions in mid-large scale projects
  • Should have consulting professional experience to understand approaches, tools, techniques and roles and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients and partners
  • Must be able to effectively interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications.
  • Previous financial industry experience is an asset

What You Need To Know
    • Provide a leadership role in formulating Solution design and mapping the applications architecture to the chosen technology platform
