Introduction: As the Senior Business Analyst, you will gather, validate and document business and functional requirements for the next phase of the Customer Relationship Management Solution. You will ensure that business requirements are mapped to business needs and approved by stakeholders.

 

Targeted Skills and Experience:

  • Review, revise and document business and functional requirements across the Division.

  • Further evaluate the CRM solution and it' s alignment to City-wide Enterprise solutions.

  • Perform a Fit-gap Analysis – evaluate key business processes and identify gaps that need solutions.

  • Cost Analysis - review solution/licensing cost and provide an estimate for annual operating costs across the Division.

  • Review and analyze existing business processes in order to gain a complete understanding of current procedures and identify and document areas for improvements.

  • Review functionality of Salesforce to optimize its use for EDC services.

  • Interview business unit staff and gather business requirements and translate them into detailed project plans.

  • Collaborate with various project resources to develop project Statement of Work.

 

Qualifications:

  • Extensive and demonstrated experience in business systems analysis and requirements gathering.

  • Extensive experience in business process, data and workflow modelling;

  • Experience in development of use cases, relationship diagrams, cost– benefit and stakeholders analyses etc.

  • Broad experience in developing architecture models for government organizations

  • In-depth expertise in UML modelling diagrams.

  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment with integrated enterprise solutions such as workflow management, business process management, business rules management, document management, content management, customer relationship management, enterprise application integration and portal solutions.

  • Experience in creating business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations and systems interoperate within the organization.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), presentation skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Practical experience and working knowledge of   Power Point,   MS Project and Visio

  • Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and protocols including Java (web and client/server), Service Oriented Architecture, Java J2EE, XML, SOAP, CORBA/RMI, Zachman Framework.

  • Experience in the requirement gathering of cloud and web-based applications is a definite asset (e.g. Salesforce).

  • University/Community College degree in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering or equivalent combination of education and /or experience. Professional designation or certification is a definite asset.

Our client is a high-profile Public Sector organization, located in the heart of Downtown Toronto.  They are seeking the services of Senior Business Analyst who possessed deep experience in Procurement specifically related to IT RFP design, development, writing, execution, evaluation, and award/negotiation, etc.

 

Duration: 12 Months

Location:  Downtown Toronto (near TTC/Union Station)

Client:  Government / Public Sector

Key Experience: Managing a full RFP Lifecycle (writing, analyzing, scoring, contract negotiations), and experience with IT (multi-tiered architecture and web-based application and integration architecture and cloud architecture)

 

Targeted Qualifications and Experience:
  • Extensive experience with preparation of public sector procurement documents, including business case, RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, tenders and bid requirements, statement of work (sow), master agreements (MA) and evaluation criteria and vendor contracts.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, CBAP certification or similar equivalent and related certification or greater than 8 years experience as a Sr. BA or Project Manager/Lead
  • Highly developed interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues, municipal officials, consultants, solicitors and other internal and external clients at all organizational levels.
  • Well-developed written and technical writing skills with demonstrated experience writing business cases, briefing notes, presentations, business and technical requirements for procurement

 

 

Targeted Technical Capabilities:
  • Solid understanding of System Development Lifecycle and Project Management methodologies such as Rational Unified Process (RUP), PMI PMBoK, Agile, Lean
  • Project related experience and knowledge in the development of licensing (application intake and processing) and inspection/investigation workflow applications
  • Project related experience and knowledge of cloud solution procurement and implementation
