POSITION SUMMARY

As a Business analyst, you will be passionate about implementation, support and
improvements of data systems that enable corporate functions such as market & credit
risk, collateral and liquidity, capital markets trading and portfolio management, private
capital, performance measurement and regulatory compliance.
You will play a key role underlying all initiative delivery. Your responsibility is to
understand, document and facilitate agreement on requirements, approaches,

Duties & Responsibilities
• Engage business clients to elicit business requirements and understand objectives
• Produce business analysis related documentation, including (functional and non-
functional) requirements, current and future state processes and workflows, and
solution specifications to a high quality standard
• Specifically, you produce business requirements for data, identify data sources and
deliver data specifications
• Work with data vendor manager to establish agreements for new external vendor
content
• Document the flow and transformation of data from suppliers through data
repositories and to end user datamarts/applications

• Work with QA teams to develop test plans and ensure they understand the business

• Participate in the initiation and planning of projects - including facilitating the
definition of objectives, scope, and WBS as well as provide work estimates

and co-ops, as required, to foster professional development
• Contribute to the operation and improvement of their aligned delivery

• Exercise appropriate judgment in identifying and calling out risks and issues

Qualifications & Experience
• University degree or equivalent experience (Business/Finance, Financial Mathematics,
Computer Science, Engineering)
• Having additional certifications such as CFA, Certified Enterprise Data Professional,
Certified Business Analysis Professional, Process improvement methodology
accreditation or Accounting certification would be an asset
• Minimum 4 years’ experience for business analysis or 7 years for Senior Business
Analyst in the institutional investment industry
• Solid understanding of various asset classes including Equities, Futures, Fixed Income,
FX and their derivative products
• Ability to prioritize, coordinate and complete tasks to meet deadlines
• Superb communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating effectively
with business, delivery and technology partners
• Experience collaborating with project delivery and technology teams to deliver
solutions that tackle business problems and meet business requirements
• Experience in translating business requirements to technical specifications
